Proactive D&I Work

Applied Microbiology International wants to provide a platform that supports those within our membership and beyond, by providing resources that encourage and welcome people from all backgrounds to our community.

Applied Microbiology International recognises that responding to reactive opportunities and consultations to amplify the voices of our members is important. However, we also see the value of proactively encouraging all individuals – no matter their background – to engage with microbiology and the wider STEM sector.

As such we are taking a new approach to our D&I work, where we will design activities (including tailored events) centred around encouraging more diversity within our membership as well as supporting those already within our community. Details on previous as well as upcoming activities can be found on this page, so keep an eye out for exciting opportunities!
