We're looking for reviewers on a publication calling for the involvement of microbiologists in international decision-making to effectively tackle global issues such as antimicrobial resistance. We’re looking for contributing authors or reviewers for a paper exploring biopiracy – the unauthorised and unethical seizure of indigenous biological material by individuals or companies without prior informed consent, fair benefit-sharing, or financial compensation to the communities from which these resources belong. We’re working with members to pull together a policy brief looking into the impacts of biopiracy on food security and what this means for indigenous communities around the world. If you have any expertise or experience on this topic, we’d love to hear from you.
