Applied Microbiology International collaborates with a variety of organisations across the globe to help further the influence and reach of microbiology.
AMI is a supporting member of the following organisations in the UK:
- AMR Multi-Stakeholder Partnership Platform - AMI is a member of the AMR-MSPP; the quadripartite (FAO, UNEP, WHO, WOAH) platform fostering international and inter-stakeholder cooperation on AMR across the One Health spectrum.
- Campaign for Science & Engineering – AMI is a member organisation of CaSE; the UK’s leading independent advocate for science and engineering.
- Parliamentary & Scientific Committee – AMI is a member of P≻ a parliamentary committee focusing on scientific and technological issues in the UK that provides a liaison between Parliamentarians and scientific bodies, industry and academia. P&SC publish the quarterly Science in Parliament (SiP) magazine which AMI members can read for free here.
- The Royal Society of Biology – AMI is a member and strategic partner of the RSB; the leading professional body representing organisations and learned societies that make up the biological sciences landscape in the UK. AMI is also looking to grow its international policy network.
- Microbiome Support Association - AMI is a member of the Microbiome Support Association; an international association committed to promoting microbiome understanding and applications as drivers of One Health, food security, and human well-being.
- Strengthening Water and Sanitation Regulatory Systems: A Global Call to Action - AMI is a Core Partner of the Call to Action, which aims to strengthen political commitment to improving water and sanitation regulation globally.
- Coalition of Action 4 Soil health (CA4SH) - AMI is in the process of joining CA4SH; the coalition has almost 300 members across the world and is working to advance and elevate the importance of soil health on the global policy stage.
