SMI Indexed in DOAJ and LAM welcomes new Deputy Editors

We're delighted to announce that Sustainable Microbiology is now indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). We're also pleased to welcome Marciane Magnani and Alexander Rickard as our new Deputy Editors for Letters in Applied Microbiology.

LAM welcomes new Deputy Editors

Letters in Applied Microbiology is pleased to welcome two new Deputy Editors this year. Professor Marciane Magnani is Head Researcher of the Laboratory of Microbial Processes in Foods at the Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil. Her research focuses on food microbiology, probiotics and food antimicrobials.

Dr Alexander H. Rickard is an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan (USA), with broad interests in microbiology and particular expertise in biofilms, antimicrobials, in vitro models and inter-species bacterial interactions.

Alongside mentoring the journal’s current cohort of Junior Editors and Junior Reviewers, Marciane and Alex will work closely with Editor-in-Chief Marcela Hernández to further develop Letters in Applied Microbiology, ensuring the journal remains inclusive and accessible, supporting and developing the next generation of applied microbiologists.
