Premium Accommodation

Travel Information

By train

The nearest station is University Station, located right on campus and a short walk from the Alan Walters Building. Trains run frequently from Birmingham New Street Station (journey time ~7 minutes). Birmingham New Street connects directly with London, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh and many other UK cities.

By bus

Several local buses stop near the University of Birmingham campus. Useful routes include the X21, X22, and 61/63, which all run from the city centre (New Street/Moor Street area) towards Selly Oak.

By taxi

Taxis from Birmingham New Street station to the Alan Walters Building take around 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic. Uber and other ride-hailing services operate widely in the area.

By car

There is limited parking available on the University campus and it is not guaranteed. Attendees are encouraged to travel via public transport where possible. The nearest campus car park is North East Car Park (Pritchatts Road). Charges apply.

By air

Birmingham Airport is approximately 30 minutes away by train (via Birmingham International to Birmingham New Street, then change to University Station), or 30–45 minutes by taxi or car.
