We’ve listened to what our members have told us about the need for a simple, supportive way to build meaningful professional connections, and the value of mentoring.
In response, we’ve chosen Mentorloop as the platform to power AMI Mentoring, giving our members the high-quality user experience, support and functionality we want to provide across our membership community.

How does matching work?
Once you’ve joined the programme, Mentorloop uses the information you provide about your experience, interests and mentoring goals to support the matching process. Matching is not immediate and can take up to 3 weeks from the point you join the programme. This allows time to create thoughtful, relevant matches. -
How are meetings organised?
Once matched, mentors and mentees agree a meeting schedule that works for them. The frequency and length of individual meetings can be decided between each pairing. Meetings will usually take place by video call, using whichever platform you both agree works best, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp. -
What am I committing to?
When joining AMI Mentoring, we ask participants to commit to the programme for a minimum of six months. As a guide, you should expect mentoring to take approximately one hour of your time per week, including mentoring conversations, preparation and any agreed follow-up actions.
Further dates for 2027 will be added at a further date. We appreciate that these dates will not work for everyone, so please check back soon to see if another entry-round could work for you!

What do we talk about?
Each mentoring relationship can be shaped around the goals and needs of the pairing. Conversations might focus on career development, professional challenges, confidence, skills development, sharing sector experience or working towards a particular goal. -
Are conversations private?
Yes. Conversations between mentors and mentees are private, and the AMI team cannot see or access the content of your mentoring conversations. This gives each pairing space to discuss goals, challenges and professional development openly. -
What support is available?
After each mentoring call, we’ll ask participants to provide some quick feedback. This helps us understand how the programme is progressing and improve the support we provide. Participants are also encouraged to keep open communication with the AMI Mentoring programme coordinators. If you have questions, need support or experience any issues with your mentoring relationship, the programme team is there to help. -
