Editorial Board meeting and new themed collection launched
Letters in Applied Microbiology Editorial Board meet in Manchester
Coinciding with the 2026 Letters in Applied Microbiology Early Career Scientist Research Symposium, the Editorial Board of LAM met recently in Manchester, bringing together individuals from 10 countries. The 2026 cohort of the Junior Editor and Junior Reviewer training programme discussed ideas for future initiatives and celebrated successes, including an average peer review time of just 18 days!
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for Junior Editors and Junior Reviewers to meet with their Senior Editor mentors in person, building on the foundations laid during the first 6 months of the programme. A number of Editors also spoke during the ECS Symposium, and we congratulate Junior Editor Ioanna Chatzigiannidou, who was awarded the best 15-minute talk prize.
